Bronze Sculpture by Simon Morris

Canadian sculptor Simon Morris is a Member of the College of Fellows of the Royal Canadian Geographic Society in recognition of his work as an environmental artist, and a Signature Member of the Artists For Conservation Foundation, a global organization of 500 wildlife artists dedicated to the use of their art to raise funds for environmental organizations.

He is the creator of the "Guardian of the Reef" bronze statue placed underwater in Grand Cayman in April 2014 to raise awareness of the fragile nature of the marine environment in Grand Cayman and around the world. The Guardian is a limited edition of just four castings, all destined to be placed underwater in carefully chosen locations in the world's oceans.

Simon has previously placed two other bronze statues underwater - the well-known bronze mermaids "The Emerald Princess" in Powell River, British Columbia and "Amphitrite" at Sunset Reef, Grand Cayman.
